Frequently asked questions

Straight answers on price, process and ownership, before you book anything.

Fit

  • Who does Berryn work with?

Companies that have outgrown their brand, and founders who want their first one made properly. The sector matters less than the gap between what you've built and how you look.

  • Do you work with early-stage startups?

Yes. Many clients come before a launch or a raise and want the brand done properly the first time. The price and scope are the same at any stage. On timing: when to invest in brand.

  • How is a branding studio different from an agency?

Who does the work, and who's still there after launch. An agency runs your account through layers of people, then hands over the files. At Berryn the people on your first call do the work, for one fixed price, live in under four weeks, and stay on after launch. The full comparison: Berryn vs a branding agency.

  • Who will we actually work with?

Omar and Ahmad, the two people doing the work, from the first call to the final files. No account managers and no handoffs.

  • Do you work with companies outside Poland?

Yes. Clients are across the US, the UK, Europe and the GCC, and the work runs remote from Wrocław and Muscat.

What's included

  • What do we actually receive?

Strategy, a full identity system with logo, type, colour and guidelines, a website live on your domain, plus brand content and motion. Delivered as Figma links and a Notion page, never a zip of raw files. The full list: what a Berryn brand includes.

  • Do you do brand strategy or just the visuals?

Both. Week one is strategy: a kickoff, a competitor audit and a positioning workshop, ending with who it's for and what you say, written down. Everything visual is built on it.

  • Do you build the website or just design it?

We build it, no-code by default or in code when the site needs it (how we choose). For product work we hand off to your engineers with states, tokens and edge cases documented.

  • Can you rebrand without losing what we've built?

Yes. A rebrand replaces an identity that stopped matching the business, plus the plan for moving everything across without losing what you've already built. Not sure you need a full one? Rebrand or refresh.

  • Do you design apps and products too?

Yes. We audit current app flows and screens, and build a design system your engineers can build from. Vryfi Now's brand, 35+ app flows and management portal took 45 days. More on product design.

  • Do you write the messaging?

Yes. Who it's for, what you say and how you're different, written down in week one. It's the page everything else is built from.

  • Can you name the company or product?

Yes. Naming is one of our services: a name that's sayable and ownable, with trademark availability checked before anyone falls in love with it.

  • Do you make pitch decks and launch videos?

Yes. Pitch decks built to survive a room full of investors, narrative first and design second, and launch videos for a product, a rebrand or a raise.

Price

  • How much does branding cost?

Our minimum commitment starts at $4,000 USD. The exact price depends on the scope, and you get it on the first call, before anything starts. Anything under the brand umbrella is in it. If you need something outside it, it's a small add-on, quoted before it's done. How that compares to freelancers and agencies: how much branding costs.

  • What counts as one brand?

One company or one product with its own name and identity. A sub-brand or a second product with its own name is a second brand.

  • Do you charge hourly?

No. One brand, one fixed price, agreed before the work starts. Hourly billing makes you pay for the learning curve and penalises anyone who works fast.

  • How does payment work?

Split across the project and agreed in a one-page proposal before anything starts. Nothing gets added later: anything outside the scope is quoted before it's done.

  • Do you do retainers?

Yes, after launch. Rollout is a light monthly retainer: we put the brand to work on your deck, sales pages and launch content, and tighten the website using what real visitors do on it. It's optional and scoped on a call. For a live product, product design includes ongoing support. If you need a steady stream of small design tasks, a design subscription may fit better.

  • Does a rebrand cost the same as a new brand?

It's priced the same way: by scope, with the price agreed on the first call, whether it's your first brand or a replacement for one that stopped matching the business. Our minimum commitment starts at $4,000 USD.

Process

  • How does a project run?

Week 1, strategy. Week 2, identity: three directions, you pick one, we refine it. Week 3, the system and the website. Week 4, motion, the site goes live and you get every file and the rights.

  • What happens after launch?

You keep every file and the rights, and the guidelines are written for whoever works on the brand next. If you want us to stay on, Rollout is a light monthly retainer: we put the brand to work on your deck, sales pages and launch content, and tighten the website using what real visitors do on it.

  • How many logo directions do we see?

Three, in week two, each a real option. You pick one and we refine it until the logo, type and colour are locked.

  • How many revision rounds are included?

There's no round count. The scope is fixed instead: you give feedback until the work is right within it. What isn't included is new scope arriving as feedback.

  • Do you use AI in the work?

Yes, and we're direct about it. AI removes the waiting: exploration, iteration, production. The decisions are made by a person, and that judgement is the part worth paying for. Where AI tools stop on their own: Berryn vs an AI logo generator.

  • How is the work delivered?

As Figma links and a Notion page that keep everything in one place, never a zip of raw files.

  • What happens on the first call?

20 minutes. We look at what you have, you ask what you need to, and you decide if it's worth moving forward. A one-page proposal follows if it is.

Ownership

  • Who owns the work?

You do. Source files and full rights transfer at the end.

  • Do we get the source files?

Yes. Every file, and the rights, are handed over in week four.

  • Can another designer or agency work from it later?

That's the point of the guidelines. They're written for your next designer, developer or agency to work from.

Timelines

  • How long does branding take?

Under four weeks. Most of a long agency schedule is coordination, handoffs and waiting for the next call. We compress the waiting, not the thinking. After launch, Rollout keeps us on to put the brand to work. Timelines compared: how long branding takes.

  • How long did past projects take?

Downtown Group's brand took 14 days. Avalanche Tech's brand system and landing page took 10. Vryfi Now's brand, 35+ app flows and portal took 45.

  • How fast can you start?

We take one or two projects at a time, so it depends on the week. When we're full you get a specific start date, not a maybe.

  • Can you work to a launch date?

That's the normal case: a launch, a raise, a big announcement. Bring the date to the first call and we'll tell you whether it's realistic before you commit.
