Terms
How this site works and how working with us works. The proposal for your project comes first; these fill in the rest.
Who we are
These terms cover berryn.com and the work Berryn LLC (“Berryn”, “we”) does for clients. Questions: hello@berryn.com.
Using this site
The words, designs and images here belong to us or to our clients, and client work is shown with their permission. You're welcome to read, share and link to it; please don't copy it for commercial use without asking.
We keep the site accurate, but it's provided as it is. Prices and availability can change; the proposal you accept is what counts. Links to other sites are there for convenience, and we're not responsible for what's on them.
The proposal
Every project starts with a one-page proposal: the scope, the price, the timeline and how payment is split. When you accept it, the proposal and these terms are our agreement. If the two ever disagree, the proposal wins.
Price and payment
One fixed price per brand, agreed in the proposal before we start. One brand is one company or one product with its own name and identity. A sub-brand or a second product with its own name is a second brand.
Websites, product design and naming are priced on a call and fixed in the proposal before we start.
Anything outside the agreed scope is a small add-on, quoted before it's done. Nothing is added to your bill without your yes.
Payment is split across the project as the proposal sets out. We don't charge by the hour.
Timeline
A brand runs from kickoff to launch in under four weeks. That depends on feedback, decisions and materials arriving when we agree them; if they arrive late, the dates move by the same amount.
Feedback
There's no round count. The scope is fixed instead: you give feedback until the work is right within it. New scope that arrives as feedback is quoted as an add-on.
Ownership
Once the final payment is made, the final work is yours: the deliverables, their source files and full rights. Until then, the rights stay with us.
Directions you didn't choose, and our own tools and methods, stay ours. Fonts, stock images and other third-party assets come under their own licences, and we'll tell you which ones need one.
We may show the finished work in our portfolio and case studies. If it needs to stay private, say so in the proposal and it will.
Confidentiality
What you share with us for a project stays private and is used only for your project.
Ending a project
Either of us can end a project in writing. You pay for the work done up to that point and own what you've paid for.
Liability
We do the work with care and skill, but we can't promise business results. The results in our case studies are our clients' own.
A trademark check we run for a name is not legal clearance; register names and marks through a lawyer.
As far as the law allows, our total liability for a project is limited to the fees you paid for it, and neither of us is liable for indirect losses such as lost profit.
Changes
If these change, the new version goes here with a new date. Projects already under way keep the terms they started with. Last updated: 26 October 2026.
